Save time and get accurate water test results within seconds. Simply take one of the provided test strips and dip the test strip into the water. Compare the test strip colors with the large color chart on the bottle. This is your water hardness result.

No need to visit a store or wait for someone else to test the quality of your water.
Enjoy consistently accurate and reliable results whenever you need them.

Ideal for you water softener operation control.

How water hardness test kits work?

They are usually very simple to use. Only a small sample of water is required and then the test strip is dipped in the water for a few seconds.

After few seconds the strip is removed from water and the colors on the strip are compared to the provided color chart.

Comparing the strip with the color chart will give the water hardness value.

Water hardness test strips usage

Water hardness test strips are a simple and convenient way to measure the hardness of water. They are small, portable strips of paper that are coated with a chemical reagent that reacts to the minerals in water.

The test strips kit is easy and fast to use

To use a hardness test strip, you simply dip the strip into a sample of water and wait for a few seconds. The strip will change color depending on the concentration of minerals in the water. A color chart is usually provided with the test strips, which allows you to compare the color of the strip to the chart to determine the hardness of the water.

Some test strips are designed to measure the total hardness of water, which includes both calcium and magnesium. Others are designed to measure the concentration of individual minerals, such as calcium or magnesium.

Water hardness test strips are a quick and easy way to test the hardness of water, and they are widely available at home improvement stores, hardware stores, and online. However, it is important to carefully follow the instructions provided with the test strips to ensure accurate results, and to store the strips in a cool, dry place to prevent them from losing their accuracy.

test kit main advantages

  • quick and precise results
  • test strips easy to read and use
  • no need to wait and pay for expensive laboratory tests

Where are hardness test kits used?

Hardness test kits are commonly used in households, as well as in commercial and industrial settings. They can be used to test the hardness of tap water, well water, and other sources of water.

Hard water can make big problems in industry and it is very important to take care about water softener operation. The easiest way to control their work is with test strips. They are fast and do not require special knowledge to use them.

Hardness testing kits are available in a variety of formats, including strips that change color when exposed to water, digital test meters that provide a numerical readout, and kits that use a chemical reagent to measure the hardness of water.

Most common and the easiest to use are the strip test kits.

What is the solution to hard water problems?

The solution to all problems related to hard water and limescale is water softening which is done by whole house water softeners.

Whole house water softeners
Whole house water softeners

Water softening is the process of replacing Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg) ions from water hardness salts with sodium (Na) ions. It is carried out with devices called water softeners. Water softeners are filled with special ion exchange resins that perform this ion exchange. Calcium and Magnesium ions from water bind to the ion exchange resin and an equivalent amount of Sodium ions is released from the resin.

Of course, this replacement cannot last indefinitely and is limited by the amount of sodium ions in the ion exchange resin. So, softening converts Calcium and Magnesium salts into an equivalent amount of Sodium salts.

The resulting Sodium salts are extremely soluble in water and do not form scale. Sodium bicarbonate, which is formed from carbonate hardness, is a well-known baking soda. It is important to note that the equivalent amount of salt remains the same as before, but these salts after softening are in the form of Sodium and do not form scale.
